My Hospital Room Experience.

This is Julie from IGIT TV’s Historical Bible Truths, and I am honored to write one of the first blog posts for IGIT Ministries! I met Allen at the church he, his wife Valita, and sister Catherine planted in Madison Heights, Virginia. Now he’s gathered a team for another church plant, this time a church without walls–IGIT Ministries.  I remember the first time I tuned into the live-stream: I was in the hospital with a serious condition and in pain. A naso-gastric tube made it difficult to speak, but there was no one to talk to anyway. I was alone since it was after visiting hours. IGIT’s own Darius Wallace was the guest and I remember thinking, “they’re normal people just like me.” That YouTube stream brought so much healing to my soul! I know God directed me to IGIT TV that night. He knew I needed encouragement from other believers to get through the hardship I was experiencing. Allen heard my “voice” through the chat and assured me that IGIT was praying for me. I was taken aback at his sincerity and caring that night in my hospital bed.

IGIT has an incredible leadership team of strong prayer warriors, business professionals, and lovers of the Bible. We bring different gifts to the table; we have great hosts, a “legal eagle,” visionaries, and many creative minds that seamlessly work together to bring the Gospel to the masses. But at the heart of it all is something beautifully simple: Just Jesus—No Gimmicks. No showmanship, no tricks—just the truth of God’s Word and the hope found in Christ. My hospital room experience showed me exactly why that matters. In a moment when I needed encouragement most, God used a simple livestream and a group of sincere believers to remind me that I was not alone. That is the mission of IGIT Ministries—to reach people wherever they are, across screens, cities, and nations, and point them to the One who changes everything: Jesus.

Life today seems like one challenge after another, and we regularly wonder if the struggle will ever end. The simple answer is a resounding “YES,” by the grace of our Lord.

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

-Romans 8:38-39

Hallelujah!!!! This is so powerful Julie!!! I remember when I was in the hospital for 10 days after a major surgery and once visiting hours ended, I was very depressed. I wish I had IGIT back then and I am so grateful to God that He is using us to bring people closer to Christ and advancing His kingdom! This is a living testimony of the love and the greatness of God and how He meets us when we are in the pit! This really touched my heart, Julie and it is an honor to serve the Living God and to be your brother as well!! Love you sis!! Thank you for sharing this!! IGIT IS THE PLACE TO BE!!
